HOUSTON (KTRK) -- With Christmas right around the corner, service members are hoping they can find a way home to see their families.

Local organization Boots for Troops launched the Warrior Morale Project in an effort to help every active service member be able to spend time with their families during the holidays.

Boots for Troops executive director Jimmy Rogers said they've had wonderful support for the Warrior Morale Project, but he's hoping they can help bring more troops back before Christmas. So far, the project has helped 24 people come home this year.
