HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The thrill of Bollywood is now here in Houston. And it will definitely help you get up and move. It's an exercise class to Bollywood music and performing Bollywood moves.
Ruchika Dias is the founder and teacher of Bollywood Shake, a dance and workout program using the popular moves. Dias told Eyewitness News, "It's really for anybody who wants to dance, loves to have a good time and wants a good workout. There's not a lot of complicated Bollywood dance routines. It's for anyone from beginning level all the way up to advanced. The dance moves are simple, so everyone can follow along. And the idea is to have fun. Not to do it perfectly, but just to have fun."
For many who take her classes, the music of Bollywood is familiar, but the dances are a whole new challenge.
One dancer said, "Absolutely love it. Didn't know losing weight and getting back in shape could be fun."
Dias added, "I know almost everybody goes out with a smile on their face. A lot of people are smiling because it's happy music, happy dancing."
