Police looking for tips after male body found outside HISD school

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Houston police are investigating after a body was found outside Ortiz Middle School on Friday morning.

The male victim is believed to be 25 to 35 years of age, pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

Houston Fire Department responded to the scene after reports of a person down at the school at 6767 Telephone Rd. Upon arrival, they found the victim dead of an apparent gunshot wound.
