Body recovered after fire reported at Montgomery County home

PATTON VILLAGE, Texas (KTRK) -- The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fire at a home in Patton Village as a homicide, investigators said.

According to officials, a body was recovered near the home.

Firefighters responded to the house fire early Wednesday morning on South Lakeview.

Police had been searching for Aaron Phillips and 37-year-old Jason Gilbert -- the last known occupants of the home.
