CINCINNATI, OH (KTRK) -- If you have bottles of Angry Orchard Crisp Apple Hard Cider in your fridge, you'll want to check the labels today.
The company is recalling select cases, 12-packs and 6-packs because the beer may be re-fermenting.
Re-fermented beer doesn't pose a health risk, but it could cause the beer to become over carbonated, changing the taste of the beer. It also puts more pressure inside the bottle, meaning the beer will come gushing out when you open it just like it does when you shake a can or bottle of beer.
In extreme cases, over carbonated beer can cause the bottle to break or explode.
The recalled products were sent to 22 states, including right here in Texas. Here's the list via the FDA:
The company is offering a full refund on any of the recalled products. Just contact Angry Orchard on its website or phone 1-800-362-7110.
You can read more about the recall on the FDA's website.
