Bear goes for dip in North Vancouver swimming pool, hot tub

NORTH VANCOUVER, Canada (KTRK) -- A bear found the perfect place to cool off on a hot summer day.

"It's just amazing," Tony Diering told CTV after spotting the bear in his swimming pool. "You see funny things on YouTube, but to have it happening in your own backyard."

Diering whipped out his cell phone and began recording video of the bear. The animal started off with a dip in the pool before rolling over for some quality time in the hot tub.

Eventually, the bear headed back off into the woods.

Diering says he's pretty sure this isn't the first time the bear's made a visit.

"About a month ago, the bear came and he was helping himself to the bird seed," he told CTV, adding that he hopes this is the last time he sees the animal. "I hope that he'll just go eat some berries in the mountains instead."
