New BBQ restaurant offering free food to law enforcement officers

STAFFORD, Texas (KTRK) -- Brand new restaurant Republic BBQ in the Stafford area is using its grand opening weekend to treat local law enforcement.

On Saturday, the eatery is offering free meals to all law enforcement officers and up to three of their guests.

According to Republic BBQ, officers are not required to be in uniform. They only need to show their badges.

Republic BBQ, located at 11110 W. Airport Blvd., held its grand opening on Friday.
