SPRING, Texas (KTRK) -- A Spring-area barber accused of exposing himself near children while at work maintained his innocence in an exclusive interview with ABC13.

"I would never do anything like this or even dream of doing anything like this," 32-year-old Jeremiah Siqueido said. "I worked for the barber shop for five years and never had any complaints, any issues. Everybody that knows me knows this is not me."

According to a criminal complaint, Siqueido kept taking numerous breaks while cutting the hair of several children on Aug. 16.

The child's mother told deputies she followed Siqueido when he walked into a back room and found him masturbating while staring in the direction of her and her children.

Siqueido's attorney, Sean Buckley, said he was in the back room because of faulty equipment that needed regular maintenance. Buckley also said the back room, where Siqueido was allegedly masturbating, is under constant video surveillance that would have discouraged any illegal activity.

"The only theory we have is that the accuser didn't wanna pay for the haircuts he had given her family. We have no other motive," Buckley said.

Buckley claimed the investigation was neither fair or full.

A Spring barber accused of indecent exposure ran from cameras as he left jail.

When reached for comment, investigators said the case was in the hands of the district attorney.

Frank Montalvo, the owner of the barber shop, told ABC13 when the accusations surfaced that Siqueido had worked for him for several years and was a good employee. Montalvo said he was "very, very sorry" about the charges leveled against Siqueido.

"I don't blame her. I would react the same way. I used to bring my children to this barber shop before I owned it and never had any incidents," he said.

Siqueido has been charged with indecent exposure.
