Troopers race to save Bald Eagle that collided with vehicle

Amazing up-close images of a Bald Eagle were captured in Washington state, but this story did not have a happy ending.

The photos were tweeted by Trooper Russ Winger with the Washington State Patrol on Tuesday. Apparently the Bald Eagle was flying too low and collided with a vehicle's windshield.

The raptor was transported to a rehab center, but unfortunately didn't survive injuries from the accident.
