Body of newborn baby found buried in shallow grave

Deputies say the remains of a newborn baby have been found in Liberty County.

The sheriff's office said there are no leads after deputies were called to a wooded area off CR-142 Tuesday night.

The bones were found in a shallow grave.

The age, gender and cause of death for the baby were not immediately known.
