Woman struck, killed by SUV in Baytown

BAYTOWN, TX (KTRK) -- A woman was killed when she was struck by an SUV in Baytown.

The accident happened around 7pm on Garth Road at Espuela Lane.

Deputies with the Harris County Sheriff's Office say the woman was walking on Garth Road when she was struck and killed by the driver of an SUV.

The driver and a small child inside the vehicle were not injured.

Deputies say the driver stopped to help the victim, and will not be charged.
