Child on bike struck by car in northwest Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A child on a bike was hit by a car while crossing a street in northwest Houston.

The Houston Police Department tells us around 4:40pm Tuesday, the child was crossing West Little York near Antonie when a black Toyota struck the child.

There is no word yet on the child's condition, but a pool of blood was visible on the street.

The driver of the Toyota stayed at the scene. It's not yet clear if the driver will face charges.
