Thieves steal ATM, arrested after chase
Three suspects who police say stole an ATM from a convenience store were arrested after a short chase

HUMBLE, TX (KTRK) -- An early morning smash and grab led to a high speed chase. Now, two two adults and a juvenile have been arrested.

Early this morning, Humble police sent out word that an ATM had been stolen from a Exxon gas station in the 19,000 block of McKay Blvd.

A short time later, around 3:00am, a Houston Police North Patrol officer in the area of the Hardy Toll Road at the North Sam Houston Tollway spotted a stolen Dodge Durango. He tried to pull the vehicle over, but the driver refused to stop.

The officer chased the vehicle to the intersection of Greens Road at Northborough where the driver hit a tree. Two men and a 17-year-old then jumped out of the vehicle and ran.

HPD arrested two suspects immediately. They quickly located and arrested the third suspect. When police searched the vehicle, they found the stolen ATM.

The vehicle matches the description of the one from the Exxon robbery. The suspects are being turned over to Humble Police for additional charges.
