Teen with disability sinks shot
A teenager who survived a serious illness surprised himself and his teammates by sinking a last-minute shot

TUCSON, AZ (KTRK) -- An Arizona teenager who battled a bacterial infection in his brain for months is now celebrated for his prowess on the basketball court.

Christopher Hupp made a three-point shot at the end of a recent tournament with his team, the Espero Canyon Middle School Eagles.

It's an amazing feat for the 13-year-old who spent months going through surgery and physical therapy. His illness left him without movement on his left side and unable to walk.

He regained function in just two months and made it back onto the court. And at the last second of the game, Hupp sunk the shot, sending the crowd leaping to their feet.
