It happened around 7:30pm Tuesday at the Cullen Oaks Apartments.
The student told police she was walking on the third floor of Building 1 when someone approached her from behind and grabbed the phone she was carrying. The student said she struggled with suspect but he overpowered her, took the phone and ran away.
No weapon was seen during the robbery, and the student was unharmed.
The suspect is described as a black male who is about 6 feet 1 inches tall and weighs around 190 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded jacket, black pants and a shirt with a white circle on the front.
