Irby is accused of arguing with a 32-year-old man, then pulling a knife and cutting the other man's neck. The incident occurred around 9 p.m. Saturday in the Pleasant Grove section of southeast Dallas.
Police spokesman Lt. Max Geron said the victim was taken to Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas with critical injuries.
