Registration for the 43rd annual marathon will open June 4 and end June 19. Guaranteed HERO entries and Run For a Reason official charity entries will be available beginning on June 4, while early registration for Legacy runners, 5-9 year finishers, deferrals, HARRA, time qualifiers and "third time's a charm" runners will be open from May 6 - May 29, 2014.
The marathon itself will be held January 18, on Martin Luther King Day weekend.
"The positive responses and feedback city-wide regarding the new course was overwhelming," said Executive Director Wade Morehead. "We are excited for registration to open next month for the 2015 Chevron Houston Marathon Race Weekend after having all three races sell out in 2014."
The 2015 Chevron Houston Marathon and Aramco Houston Half Marathon will have a protected cap of 25,000 participants. Of those, 13,000 entries are reserved for the marathon and 12,000 for the half marathon. The ABB 5K, which will take place on Saturday, January 17, will have an increased cap of 6,000 participants.
The cost of entry for the 2015 Chevron Houston Marathon and Aramco Houston Half Marathon will remain the same as the 2014 fees, with marathon registration $125 and half marathon registration $115.
