It happened around 9:30pm at the Aramada Inn on the North Freeway near Richey.
Deputies say a man was fatally shot in the lobby of the motel after some type of disturbance. Several people witnessed the shooting but investigators say no one has been able to tell them more about the victim.
"We believe he was a resident here at one pointain we don't know his identity but we believe at one point he was a resident," said Felipe Rivera with the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
The killer remains on the run.
