A check of DNA in a database two years ago led to the arrest of 56-year-old Charles Anthony Green for the February 2004 abduction and assault of a 19-year-old woman.
The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports a Tarrant County jury took 30 minutes Thursday to convict him. The victim testified she decided not to fight him after he confronted her with a gun because she thought she was dead.
Green now could face up to life in prison. He's decided to let the judge in his case determine punishment but no sentencing date has been set. He's already had convictions for assault, theft and drug possession.
