Infant dropped off at fire station in SE Houston

HOUSTON

According to a spokesperson with the Houston Fire Department, at about 2pm a woman showed up at fire station #35 on Van Fleet at MLK and handed over a baby girl, who appeared to be about five months old and Hispanic. The woman didn't give her name, and said she did know the child's parents.

The baby appeared clean and well cared for. A diaper bag had a first name 'Lillian' marked in the bag. Authorities don't know if that's the child's name.

The case was turned over to Houston police, and they interviewed the woman who dropped off the baby. Children's Protective Services has been contacted.
