Suspect charged in pregnant woman's murder at southwest Houston strip club

HOUSTON

Maria Lucrecia, 27, of Houston, was five months pregnant and working at Eclipse Gentleman's Club on South Gessner as a cleaning lady Saturday afternoon when she was viciously strangled and beaten to death.

Investigators say Osvaldo Fernandez-Aguilar, 23, killed Lucrecia in the lobby of the club, took about $1,000 from a register and broke a window of an office in an attempt to steal from a safe before he walked out a back door.

Surveillance cameras from several neighboring businesses picked up images of the man, and police say he was identified as Fernandez-Aguilar.

Fernandez-Aguilar is charged with capital murder. He remains at large. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Osvaldo Fernandez-Aguilar is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
