Galveston County jail records show Dena Lynn McKenzie, 49, of League City was being held Thursday on a charge of accident involving death. Online jail records do not list an attorney for McKenzie, who was arrested Wednesday and bond set at $25,000.
League City police say Kevin Munson, 45, of League City was riding his bicycle on West Marina Bay Drive before dawn on March 14 when he was struck by a vehicle and later died.
McKenzie was located after police released surveillance video from a nearby gated community that shows a woman removing a loose part from her car.
Tips led to the nurse.
"In almost every crime, someone has information. Don't ever assume that the police already know, report what you saw," said Criminal Investigations Division Lieutenant Bruce Whitten.
