Group claims new Pasadena council districts discriminate

PASADENA, TX

Pasadena held a council meeting about the redistricting last night. The city is going from eight city council districts to six, with two at-large districts.

Some Hispanics complained about the new city council lines even before they were drawn, claiming there will be fewer Hispanics on city council.

"The mayor needs to listen to us and he's not and he doesn't care and he has showed us that time and time again," said Patricia Gonzales, president of TOP's Pasadena chapter.

There are three different options for council redistricting.
