Jeffrey Wayne Wilson, 34, is charged with credit/debit card abuse.
According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, Wilson duped at least one person into believing he was a legal consultant and representative of a well-known but now defunct law firm.
Investigators say that victim gave him $100,000 to perform legal work that she claims was never done. In fact, they say Wilson never even had the credentials to do the job.
Wilson is also accused of using the victim's debit card number for personal purchases.
Detectives believe there may be other victims and they're asking anyone who may have worked with him to call the Harris County Financial Crimes Unit at 713-967-5770.
