According to the Sun-Sentinel, the suspect, an Indonesian man, told the FBI the assault was done out of revenge because the passenger insulted him.
The victim told FBI agents that her attacker appeared with no warning in the middle of the night. He allegedly raped, beat, punched and strangled her before he tried to throw her into the ocean.
The suspect was reportedly arrested when the ship returned to Florida, and the victim was hopsitalized.
