Missing 11-month-old Houston boy found safe

HOUSTON

Officers returned 11-month-old Jamibre Fontenot to his uncle just before 10pm.

The Amber Alert was issued for the little boy after police say his live-in nanny, 20-year-old Cy-Kietha Freeman, took him out of the apartment without permission and kept him with her overnight.

The boy's mother apparently tried calling the nanny several times according to police but she was either unresponsive or lied about her whereabouts. The nanny's cousin says this is all a big misunderstanding.

"She went to a job fair yesterday and she went to her momma's house around 6 o'clock I picked her up and she went to my house. She stayed there that night and the next day I had to go to work in the morning and then school in the evening and then they were here," said Freeman's cousin Delnisha Fegane.

Freeman says she didn't know they were looking for her and the baby and that they were on their way to drop off the baby boy when they heard about the Amber Alert. No charges are expected against her.
