West Chester University student's $10K half-court shot stirs controversy

According to 6ABC Action News in Philadelphia, 18-year-old Jack Lavery made shot of a lifetime Saturday night.

Lavery was randomly picked for the halftime challenge. He was to make four shots in 25 seconds.

He made the first three with no problem, but the fourth was from half court. He missed, ran to get the ball, ran back while the announcer continued the countdown, and then shot again as time ran out.

It went in.

But, the excitement over the buzzer beater was short-lived.

The group running the competition said Lavery was supposed to make the half-court shot on his first attempt to get the money, 6ABC reports.

The YouTube hits are already climbing on his video and students on campus already have mixed reactions.
