Largest water slide of its kind to debut in Texas amusement park

SAN ANTONIO, TX

The San Antonio Express-News reports Saturday the 60-foot-high slide will debut Memorial Day weekend at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor in Arlington.

Riders will shoot down the Wahoo Racer on mats at almost 30 miles an hour before emerging onto colorful lanes.

The $2 million ride is part of a second stage of enhancements at the park, which will open for the summer on May 10.

Park President Steve Martindale says the ride has "a lot of the features of a tube body slide, but it also has the racing feature at the end."
