It happened in the 5700 block of West Mount Houston near Antoine and Enchanted Forest.
Details are still very sketchy at this point, but the Harris County Sheriff's Office confirmed that a 32-year-old woman was hit in the buttocks by a bullet that came through her patio window. The victim was transported to Ben Taub Hospital in critical condition.
According to a witness, there were about 20 to 30 shots. Authorities couldn't confirm the number of shots but did say there were several. Authorities are checking the hospitals in the area for others who may have been shot.
The name of the victim and what led up to the violence is unclear.
