It all went down around 11am at a home on Grandin Wood in the Kenswick Meadows subdivision.
According to the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office, four men wearing masks banged on the door of a home there, then broke in. Investigators say they were yelling that they were with the FBI.
The homeowner believed the robbers targeted he wrong home. Sheriff's office investigators believe one of his relatives may have owed someone money who wanted it back.
The house was ransacked. One woman who was there found herself in the wrong place at the wrong time.
"All I can think was, like, please don't shoot us," said Lindsey Dirksen. "We don't have any money. We're just helpless right now."
There was no money found by the men inside. They got away with only a cell phone and remain at large.
