Stolen puppy tossed out car window after New York break-in

DEERPARK, NY

Police in Middletown told ABC7 New York that a Deerpark man called 911 to report a home invasion at his residence.

The suspects were gone by the time police arrived, but their car was later spotted. As a trooper tried to pull them over, a brown-and-white pit bull puppy was thrown from the car, ABC7 reports.

The car was eventually stopped and four suspects -- ranging in age from 15 to 20 -- were arrested.

The unhurt puppy was recovered and returned to its owners in Matamoras, Pennsylvania.
