My Plates, a company the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles hired to create custom license plates, is once again auctioning off city names, and LA PORTE is among the 20 city names up for grabs.
The auction ends March 3, and the winner will be able to choose from over 35 plate designs and keep the plate for a 10-year, fully transferable term, with first right of renewal.
Last year, HOUSTON was in the auction, and it went to the winning bidder for $25,000.
