Spain seizes dozens of floating backpacks full of cocaine

Investigators were literally fishing for backpacks full of the drug, CNN reports.

According to Spain's Civil Guard, 37 cocaine-filled backpacks were tagged with tracking devices and then dropped into the water, equipped with a flotation system that kept them just below the surface without sinking.

Smugglers were using the backpacks to move drugs along the country's Mediterranean coast, CNN reports. Five people were arrested in two cities as part of the probe.
