A British surfer may have set a world record for riding a wave.

Andrew Cotton rode a wave off the coast of Portugal that was believed to be 98 feet tall.

If this is true, the current world-record holder would break the record he set three months ago of 78 feet.

Judges will decide in March if it's a world record.
