Police are investigating several armed robberies in and around the Green Tree Place Apartments on Clay Hill Drive. In most cases, investigators say two men with a shotgun threatened victims and demanded money and jewelry.
Witnesses identified one of those suspects as Raul Vargas. He also lives in the complex.
Vargas is charged with two counts of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon. He was behind bars Monday with bond set at $100,000.
