It happened around 1pm in the 16500 block of North Meadow at North Glade near Interstate 45 and FM 1960.
According to officials, a 19-year-old man was walking down the street when an unknown person drove by and shot him three times -- once in the knee, once in the elbow and once just below the eye socket.
"I asked him where he got shot at he said in his face and legs, and he asked me to go and get his grandmother, and that's what I did," neighbor Richard Edwards said.
He was transported via ambulance to Ben Taub General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Witnesses said they heard at least six shots fired. The shooter remains at large.
No additional details were immediately available. This case remains under investigation.
