Woman dies in SW Houston after having too much to drink

HOUSTON

Houston police were called to the 9700 block of Braeburn Glen at about 1am Sunday, where Rosa Marcos-Nava, 27, of Houston, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Marcos-Nava and her boyfriend went to her boyfriend's friend's home, and police say Marcos-Nava reportedly consumed large quantities of alcohol while her boyfriend and his friend ate dinner.

Marcos-Nava complained of feeling dizzy and was helped to a nearby bedroom where she was placed face down on the bed. About 30 minutes later, the boyfriend went to check on her and found "an unknown discharge coming from her nose and mouth," according to police.

Marcos-Nava was then moved to the living room as her boyfriend attempted to find a friend to drive her home. By the time he returned, Marcos-Nava was reportedly face down, cold to the touch and with an additional unknown discharge coming from her nose and mouth. HFD paramedics were called to the scene and pronounced Marcos-Nava deceased.

The investigation is continuing and autopsy results are pending.
