Driver leads police on nearly two-hour chase in northeast Harris County

HOUSTON

It all started at a Walmart in Livingston but it didn't end until he got into Humble.

Livingston police say a man was trying to break into vehicles, but when they confronted him he took off, hitting speeds of 90 miles per hour. The driver got onto Highway 59 and that is when several other departments joined in and spiked the suspect's tires. The driver continued until he got to FM 1960.

At this point, he was going at speeds between 5 and 20 miles per hour. Police say he did a few U-turns, trying to ditch them. Eventually his vehicle gave out and police arrested the man.
