The fire broke out just before 7am at the home on Meadowlark near Mockingbird. When fire crews arrived, they found huge flames shooting through the roof.
Alvin firefighters and other area community firefighters worked fast to put out the fire, but it was too late for the home. It was destroyed by the fast-moving flames.
The Brazoria County sheriff confirms the house was unoccupied at the time of the fire. There is no word of any injuries.
