Authorities say the man was struck while trying to cross the roadway in the 14300 block of State Highway 249.
A Nissan Frontier truck swerved and missed the victim, but a black Nissan Altima behind it struck him.
The man was transported from the scene by ambulance in critical condition and died about an hour later at Northwest Medical Center.
The driver of the Nissan Altima was traveling together with a male passenger. Neither was injured in the crash.
No charges are expected to be filed.
The accident is still under investigation.
