It happened in the 10000 block of Mountain Park Drive near Antoine and Trail Valley Drive.
Authorities say two families who live across the street from each other were playing football in the yard when an argument ensued.
Deputies were called out to the scene, but one of the neighbors, a 60-year-old man, resisted arrest and got into a scuffle with an officer. The officer was forced to use a stun gun on the man to take him into custody.
The officer suffered a minor ankle injury and was transported to Methodist Willowbrook Hospital to seek treatment.
The 60-year-old man has been charged with assault on a peace officer, and a woman at the scene now faces a resisting arrest charge.
