Dummy grenade clears San Antonio school

SAN ANTONIO, TX

Northside Independent School District spokesman Pascual Gonzalez told the San Antonio Express-News that school district police determined Monday that it was empty and could not explode. Children were allowed back in the building after 35 minutes.

The student's age or grade was not released. Parents were informed by an automated phone system.

Gonzalez said the student could face discipline from the district.
