On Wednesday, Free Shipping Day arrives just in time to save Christmas for all you procrastinators.
Erin Jones of Erin's Creations expects to be very busy on Wednesday.
"I'll probably be staying up late getting orders packaged and shipped. And then the custom orders, I will be making those," Jones said.
Jones is one of more than 700 retailers taking part in Free Shipping Day. On the 18th consumers who buy online at participating retailers will get their goods delivered by Christmas.
"Free shipping, it's the same as instead of going to the store, you can be at home in your pajamas and buy your Christmas presents," said Jones.
From Erin's Inspirations to Radio Shack, buyers can browse 772 online merchants to find the perfect gift. When they buy it on Wednesday the 18th the shipping is free with a guaranteed delivery by Christmas Eve. Retailers say is definitely boosts sales.
"Oh yeah, I think so, it is definitely a good deal, and definitely a good incentive. I have offered, once in a while, I have a sale where we do free shipping and it definitely helps," said Jones.
For consumers, free shipping is always a good deal.
"When it's a $100 item, you save $8, $9 so yeah it matters," said Amar Henry.
