Woman in stalled vehicle on Sam Houston Parkway feeder road killed when pickup slams into her

HOUSTON

It happened just a little before 6am at 6000 South Sam Houston Parkway East. According to Houston police, the 37-year-old victim was in a blue Toyota Camry stalled in the right lane of the eastbound service road when she was hit from behind by the driver of a black GMC Sierra pickup truck traveling at a high rate of speed.

The driver of the pickup was questioned. Police say alcohol does not appear to be a factor. At this point, charges have not been filed.

The identity of the deceased woman has not been released.
