It happened overnight at an apartment complex on Antoine near Tidwell.
Three security guards were working at the apartment complex when they stopped a man on a bicycle at the front gates.
Another man was walking down the sidewalk and saw this happen. He reportedly started criticizing the guards for stopping the cyclist.
Officials said the angry pedestrian then pulled a gun and fired at the security guards. One guard was hit in both legs and taken to the hospital.
The suspect escaped and remains at large.
