The U.S. Geological Survey says two tremors were detected between Mineral Wells and Jacksboro, from 50 to 55 miles northwest of Fort Worth.
The first registered a 2.8 magnitude and came shortly before 2 a.m. Thursday. A scale used by the USGS describes that as a vibration feeling like the passage of light trucks. The second, at 2.41 a.m. Thursday checked in as a 3.6-magnitude quake, a vibration feeling like passing of heavy trucks.
No damage or injuries have been reported.
