Gov. Rick Perry to address conservative Austin think tank

AUSTIN, TX

The Republican is speaking Monday during a Texas Public Policy Foundation luncheon entitled "Competition and the States: California vs. Texas."

It also features Arthur Laffer, the economic adviser to former President Ronald Reagan known as the father of supply-side economics.

Perry has opted not to seek a fourth full term as governor next year. He hasn't, however, ruled out another run at the White House after his failed presidential bid in 2012.

The governor has been a vocal and visible critic of the White House's signature health care law.

Also, a group designed to help him gear-up for another possible presidential run has sponsored two recent national television ads championing the leadership of Republican governors across the nation.
