Robbers strike McDonald's in northeast Houston

HOUSTON

It happened inside the restaurant in the 9400 block of Jensen Drive.

According to a witness, at least masked six robbers, several with guns, stormed into the store. They ordered everyone to get on the ground and told them to take out their wallets and place them on floor. They robbed people, even putting guns to their head.

"I got scared, I just got shocked. I didn't even think about pressing the emergency button," employee Eduardo Granadas said. "I just walked to the back room and got on the floor and started praying that hopefully they wouldn't walk in and find me."

"We were sitting on the table and one guy threw my friend down. We didn't know what to do so we just got down," a 15-year-old customer said. "A guy got a gun pointed at my face. There was other people, and they took people's wallets out and took their money."

The witness said mothers and children also were inside when it happened.

No one was hurt, but the suspects made off with cash from customers and the registers.

This is at least the third robbery at a McDonald's in the Houston area this month. It's not immediately clear whether any of the robberies are connected.
