Mother, son found dead inside Cypress area home

HOUSTON

The bodies were discovered just after midnight at a home on East Windhaven Terrace at Redoak Manor.

A concerned family member apparently came to the home and called authorities. Deputies arrived at the scene and discovered what they described as a bloody scene. The two victims, a mother and son, were dead inside. The woman is said to be in her 40s and the son is in his 20s. It's still not clear how they died.

"The investigation right now is ongoing. We are trying to determine what happened inside the residence," said Sgt. Felipe Rivera with the Harris County Sheriff's Office. "There doesn't appear to be any type of struggle inside the residence or anything missing at this point."

We've learned the man who owns the home is Camil Matase. He's the husband and father, and authorities are now trying to find him. Investigators say he is not considered a suspect at this point, but they want to locate him for more information.

"I don't know the motive but we are looking for the husband to talk to him, to find out whether he is safe himself so we are looking for him to talk to him," Rivera said.

According to investigators, there was no sign of forced entry at the home. No motive has been released, and neighbors say they did not see anything suspicious.

"Nothing out of the ordinary. This is a very quiet neighborhood," neighbor Roman Valderrama said.

While detectives are looking for him still, they have been unable to give us even a brief description of him or a picture to show you.
