Homeless man makes it to presidential suite of swanky Pittsburgh hotel

PITTSBURGH, PA

Police say Jeffrey Watson, 48, snuck his way into the presidential suite of the Omni William Penn Hotel. Employees had accidently left the door to the suite unlocked.

For a short time, the homeless man enjoyed a $500-a-night room 16 floors up with a spectacular view of downtown.

"It's a sad comment on today's society, forced to go into the presidential suite at the William Penn Hotel just to grab a nap," said one resident at the hotel.

The jig was up when paying guests arrived and found him shoeless and asleep on a couch. He's charged with theft and trespassing.
